Do I need myofunctional therapy?

What age is Myofunctional Therapy appropriate for?

Ages 4-100, depending on their maturity level on either spectrum of the age limit.

How long is the Myofunctional therapy program?

Depending on the initial assessment, we customize each client's therapy schedule based on their needs, progress and motivation levels.

How long is a therapy session?

Scheduled therapy session is 30 min.

How often is therapy?

We see clients every 7-10 days. That is a good time frame for clients to practice the suggested exercises and to report back how they are doing.

Do you offer packages?

We choose to bill per therapy session. This allows for schedule and financial flexibility to do therapy as needed that works around your life. It also gives us a good idea on how much a client can manage and what the progression is.

Can I schedule multiple kids to be seen in one therapy session?

We understand your time is valuable. However, we choose to see each client individually so all eyes can be on them.

Do you accept insurance?

We are private pay, however we can provide you with a superbill at the end of treatment to submit to insurance for reimbursements. We cannot guarantee our services will be covered.

What makes pre/post care different than regular therapy?

Pre/Post care are therapy sessions where we work on basic exercises and stretches to prepare you for a tethered oral release. A full myofunctional therapy program has advanced exercises and stretches for re-training muscles involved in breathing, speaking, chewing, swallowing, and facial expressions for communicating.
